The Grace Berg Schaible Papers consist of correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, clippings, and personal and financial papers. One portion of the collection consists of correspondence from Dr. Charles Bunnell concerning administrative matters at the University of Alaska (1949-1956). The remainder documents Grace Berg Schaible's career in private law practice and in public service to the State of Alaska, the University of Alaska, and the community of Fairbanks, Alaska, as well as her interests in philanthropy, travel, and Inuit art. The collection includes a number of gallery catalogs featuring Inuit art.

Grace Berg Schaible has long served the State of Alaska, the University of Alaska, and her home community of Fairbanks, Alaska. Born Grace Berg in Tacoma, Washington, in 1925, she was raised in Juneau, Alaska, and graduated from the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines (now the University of Alaska Fairbanks) in 1949.
